February in Mississippi is highlighted by the glorious beginning of daffodil season. Right now we are just at the beginning and the pretty green shoots are starting to push their way through the brown, dead grass.
The green addition to the drab landscape has pushed the color green to the forefront of my mind. (I’m sure I’ll do a “yellow” post in a few weeks when they start blooming).
Happy Friday, Friends!

A week or so ago I let our Instagram and Facebook friends know that e-design would be the perfect gift for Christmas.
Here is the first e-design from the pre-Christmas invite.
I really enjoyed working on this project. To confirm the new kitchen layout we showed several options before this option was chosen.
I particularly love the incorporation of a fireplace in the new dining room.

This is my most popular pin on Pinterest. Bookstore Storefront Pin
I’ve always wanted to help design a new store space for a client. Making an entry and view lite into a retail space is a key element to draw and retain shoppers. If I’m dreaming here, I might as well say, a bookstore or coffee shop would be fun.

Here are some other great storefronts.
I ran across this house on Instagram and just had to share it. This is the designer’s own home ( Kate Marker). The construction company was Grand Tradition Homes.
Antique shutters, painted(I think these were limed)brick, and light stained wood are so nice together.
We are wrapping up Candace’s new den. We just have the sliding door to install, artwork to make/hang and to hang the curtains.
So, as a recap, this is where we started.
We chose the gray color option in the wood look tile and it pairs nicely with the tan rug and other elements. (the lighting was not installed yet, so sorry for the drab light effects).
So, now I need to create the artwork for the short wall, and then upload final pics. This is my inspiration for her artwork, but in soothing, beachy colors.

So, I’ve finally transitioned my site. It took some time, but I hope it will be good. You really shouldn’t see much difference, but I will on this side of cyperspace.
I created a new header/identity…pretty, right?
So – if you see these images, it’s ME!

I’ve added some other good houseplans to the “houseplan” page.
Historic House Plan (sorry I don’t have the particulars, but you can find it also on my Pinterest Page)
This beaut could be re-planned to make two bedroom out of the 12′ x 20.5′ bedroom space upstairs. The Library could also be made into a downstairs Master if a bathroom addition was provided. I think this is house is so breezy and tropical. It reminds me of a few of the houses still left on the Shary Estate in Mission, Texas.
